MIAMI

MIAMI.jpeg

Spent nearly a week in Miami and I still probably could have spent more time there! We had the best time and seriously manifesting having a second home in Miami one day LOL.

Due to the Spring Break crowd & the South Beach curfew, we definitely had our concerns prior to heading there. However, it ended up not really impacting our trip as much as we thought! From what we were told, there traffic was more along Ocean Drive and it was best to avoid that area. Our trip was centered around the beach, restaurants, and shopping.

We made all of our reservations in advance, since these restaurants get booked quick! If you have questions about the curfew, call the restaurants and hotels in advance.

Below are all the deets from our trip!

WHERE I ATE

Il Gabbiano stunning restaurant on the water with fresh pasta & ingredients! So good.

The ambiance and food at Komodo Miami is spectacular! Their multi-level space and the design made me feel like I was in Tulum. It might be my favorite spot in Miami!

Joe’s Stone Crab is considered one of the most popular spots in Miami and for good reason—the food definitely lived up to the hype.

A must go if you’re planning a trip to South Beach, Jaya at the Setai was such a cool and unique experience. We throughly enjoyed the food, ambience and the artistry of the fire dance performance!

One of our favorite places to lounge around and eat snacks during our trip was Watr at the Rooftop. The restaurant has great ocean views and rooftop pool. While there, we ran into the rap trio Migos or “stir fry” if you saw my Tik Tok LOL.

Kiki on the River didn’t have the best food, but the vibes were immaculate. I would 10/10 go there again on another trip to Miami.

We truly had the best time at Swan Miami! The DJ really made the night. The music was awesome! The food wasn’t as good as Komodo Miami or Jaya at the Setai, but it was still one of my favorite meals in Miami.

WHAT I SHOPPED

If you’re wanting to be a little bougie in Miami def check out Miami Design District The neighborhood is stunning and full of creative art installations and galleries.

Lincoln Road Mall is great if you want to shop budget or mid-tier brands. It was walking distance from our hotel so we made our way there a couple of times!

Fell into the hype and had to check out Kith. We also gave their ice cream a try and it was actually really good!

WHERE I STAYED

We stayed at the 1 Hotel South Beach and the W Miami in Brickell. While we enjoyed the proximity of both hotels to restaurants, shopping and the beach, we much preferred the ambiance and crowd at 1 Hotel South Beach.

We really enjoyed using their private beach and lounging by the pool at Watr at the Rooftop. Would definitely recommend staying there if you plan on going to Miami sometime soon!

THINGS I DIDN’T GET TO

Unfortunately we didn’t make it to the shops at Bal Harbour, a luxury shopping center at the northern tip of Miami Beach.

We had reservations at Nikki Beach, but we weren’t able to make it. Hopefully we’ll be able to go next time, along with Kyu Miami and Joia Beach - two other places we had on our list.

We didn’t get to jet ski at the beach because it was too windy - would probably jet ski at the bay to avoid weather restrictions next time!
