LAS VEGAS — Happily Madz

We really enjoyed our trip to Las Vegas last week!

I was quite impressed with all the covid precautions they were taking. There was plexiglass in each casino between the slots and tables. They won’t seat parties of 6 or more together. The nightclubs aren’t open. Most of the shows are open.

It was a totally different vibe being there during the pandemic, but we still had a great time.

WHERE I ATE

I finally got to try Carbone and I cannot recommend enough! The spicy rigatoni in vodka sauce was SO bomb. I’ll definitely come back for more in the future.

David Chang’s Momofuko always has great dishes. Located within one of my favorite Vegas hotels, The Cosmopolitan, the ambience at Momofuko is perfection.

Circa is seriously so fun! We had a great time snacking here and hanging out. We watched the Baylor vs. University of Houston game here and had a blast!

A trip to Vegas isn’t complete without a stop at Eggslut. Located in The Cosmopolitan, it’s such a delicious and easy breakfast option. I usually go for their signature Fairfax Sandwich. Yum!

Catch is probably one of the most photogenic restaurants in Las Vegas. Not only is the food gram worthy, but it also has a great aesthetic - perfect for the grid!

Newly opened in The Cosmopolitan at the Block 16 Urban Food Hall, David Chang’s Bang Bar has the tastiest wraps. Hattie B’s Hot Chicken is another great option in the food hall. They have the best Nashville fried-chicken sandwiches.

We found a really cool pizza speakeasy on our trip! Located on the 3rd floor of The Cosmopolitan, Secret Pizza has no signage. You’ll find it tucked away in a long record-lined hallway.

WHAT I SHOPPED

The Shops at Crystals is a great place to shop on the strip. The stores are mostly upscale, but the visual merchandising is a must-see for any trip to Vegas.
