5 Covid Friendly Valentines Date Ideas
Planning Valentines Day during a pandemic might be a little tougher than usual. Thought I’d try to help make it a little easier by sharing some cute and “covid friendly” date ideas to inspire you and your SO!
Picnic in the Park
Grab a picnic basket, a blanket and head to a park - If you’re in Houston, Memorial Park, Hermann Park, and Buffalo Bayou are my favorites! Recreate Matt’s date with Serena sans the donkeys by bringing some bubbly and a charcuterie board.
If you live in an area where it *actually* gets cold for winter, no worries. You can have a picnic indoors on your living room floor or even better--build a fire and have a picnic outside!
Cook Together at Home
Couples that cook together stay together--right? Make it special by making a new recipe together or one that’s sentimental. Need some inspiration? Try maki rolls, slow-roasted salmon, scallops with hazelnuts or a heart shaped pizza.
Don’t forget dessert! Make chocolate covered strawberries or these mouthwatering macadamia and brown butter blondies!
Have a Movie Marathon
In my opinion, you can never go wrong with a cozy movie night. Grab all the snacks, blankets, and candles. If you’re feeling extra romantic watch your movie on a projector, pop some popcorn and make a pink mocktail or two.
At Home Spa Day
Treat yourself and your SO to the most relaxing at home spa day. Turn on your essential oil diffuser, so your entire home smells and feels zen. Put on soft robes to get extra comfortable. Some plush slippers can’t hurt either.
Here’s a list of some of my at home spa favorites to bring this idea to life!
Game Night
A little healthy competition is always good for relationships. A game night could be the perfect Valentine’s date for you and your SO!
If you’re interested in flexing your mind take your chances at Scrabble, Battleship or chess. Who isn’t completely obsessed with chess after watching the Queen’s Gambit right?
Or have some fun with Twister, Throw Throw Burrito or poker! Learn more about your partner and connect on a deeper level with Wavelength, Hygge Conversation Game and We’re Not Really Strangers.
& in case you’re in search of what to get your significant other, below are some gift guides to shop from or get inspo!
No matter what date night you choose, I hope you and your SO have the best time together <3
xoxo
